I'm a drummer who owns a guitar which I do not play well. This blog is a chronical of my guitar playing experience with Rocksmith.
I mostly play a Michael Kelly Valor II with coil-split humbuckers and a Fender MIM Telecaster (and a few others). I play on XBox 360/Live using a wireless transmitter. My kids play, too (Fender Squier Strat and Washburn/Lyon LG115) and I'll cover some of their Rocksmith experiences if they can ever stay un-grounded long enough to use the XBox.
I've spoken with the good folks at my local GC and they are supportive of my looking into scaled down guitars for kids to use on Rocksmith. The sales manager is looking into options for me to borrow some guitars to let my son and possibly a younger kid try out on RS so I can possibly make some recommendations regarding sizes and age ranges.
3/4 Fender Squier Strat - One of the Kids' Guitars I'll be Looking At
In addition to some 3/4 scale kids electric models, I'll look into the possibility of using a kid-sized acoustic with a pick-up in it or with a mic.
